A knitting and crochet club is active at the Cradock Library. Whether you have been stitching for years, or you just want to learn, join fellow crafters who love all things yarn. Bring your current projects with you, or just bring your eagerness to try.
Caution! Main Library is celebrating Mystery Month with a new mystery display. Grab a book from the display to check out, then take a stab at the Mystery Scavenger hunt featured on the activity table. All completed entries with the correct scavenger hunt answers will be entered in the drawing to win a mystery reading bundle. Contest runs through the month of August.
Spending time in the library? Take a moment to pick up an activity from the new Activity Table at Main Library. New activities will be available each month. Take one home or work on it in the library.
Thursday Lunch Clubs meet at Main Library, 601 Court St. on the first, second and third Thursdays of each month from 1-2pm.

Join other Tidewater area readers in reading the book Shine, Shine, Shine by local author, Lydia Netzer and attending a variaty of programs and events at your area libraries complementing the book’s themes. Portsmouth Public Library is celebrating Tidewater Reads with a visit from the author herself on September 7th at Churchland Library and arts and crafts programs at Main Library, Cradock Branch, and Manor Branch. Mother Goose on the Loose is a fun fast paced program for children ages birth to 36 months and their parents that incorporates books, songs, rhymes, instruments, and props to help young children learn the pre-literacy skills needed to become successful readers. Saturdays at 11am, Main Library.
At Manor Branch This program is just for Teens 12-17

You may continue to Read, Log Activities and Minutes until September 3rd, but the Signup period ends on July 23rd.
