Workshop Builds Team Spirit Just before Thanksgiving, under the direction of Glenn Tinsley, Friends of the Library volunteer and Book Nook manager, the Churchland library staff participated in an altered book workshop.

Portsmouth now offers downloadable E-Books, have your library card and pin ready and click on the link Here… to access our ebooks.
1. Three eBook titles at a time will be available for checkout for a period of 14 days by default, but patrons may change it to 7 days or return them anytime they are ready. Titles will “disappear” (e.g. no fines).
2. Holds may be placed on checked out titles. An e-mail will be sent when the hold is ready and titles will expire after three days.
3. Patrons may access our OverDrive site from their computer or mobile device.
a. Login and Password is the same as their Library Card (barcode) and password (PIN).
E-Books are available in both Kindle and E-Pub formats fit for most e-readers, computers and smartphones.

Freading is an E-book service for Portsmouth Patrons, download books to your phone or computer including Apple , Android, and Windows.
OneClickDigital has recorded books to download to your ipod , Phone or Computer.
Effective Friday, June 1st, Cradock and Manor locations will not be open on Fridays, resuming their previous Friday closings schedule. The libraries will be open:
Monday – Thursday 10 AM – 5:30 PM, Saturday 10 AM – 3 PM
Monday – Thursday 10 AM – 6 PM, Saturday 10 AM – 5 PM
Both locations are closed on Fridays and Sundays.
Churchland Branch Library will continue to be open on Fridays.
The Portsmouth Public Library now has a subscription to Ancestry Library Edition.
